Saint-Ursanne

Saint-Ursanne is a small village located on the Doubs river in Canton Jura, Switzerland. Saint-Ursanne is noted as a highly picturesque old town located in a peaceful rural area.

Saint-Ursanne is serviced by train from Delémont. The station is 10-15 minutes walk from the old town.

Saint-Ursanne is small enough to walk around and see the sights easily.

The most famous feature of Saint-Ursanne is its town centre with many buildings dating back from the middle ages. The town is quite small and there is a walking map available from the tourist office, which will bring you around to see all the sights.

• 🌍 Hermitage of Ursicinus. This is dedicated to the hermit Ursicinus who is said to have lived here in the 6th century. A monastery was built in his name and that is also where the town got its name from. (updated Jul 2017)
