Al-Maghtas
  • Ajlun Castle, a great example of Islamic military architecture built during the Crusades, is an interesting maze of passages and levels, and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area, northwestern Jordan, and off into Galilee.
  • The Baptism Site β€œBethany Beyond the Jordan” (Al-Maghtas) just west of the Israeli border is the place where Jesus is said to have been baptized. The site is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List
