Lucknow is a couple of minutes east of Orange, and about 2½ hours west of Sydney via the A32 and about 30-40 mins west of Bathurst again via the A32. Well, to come to Lucknow from Sydney, you have to pass the A32 in Bathurst; you've got no choice.

By plane

Orange Regional Airport (OAG IATA) has flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and is about 9 km south of Lucknow. Just the maximum capacity to walk.
