Franco da Rocha

Franco da Rocha is a city in the São Paulo metro area, São Paulo state. There is basically one reason to visit the city: the Hospital Psquiátrico Juqueri, a late-XIX century psychiatric complex with a quite disturbing history.

Franco da Rocha is an impoverished city, where a foreign tourist will be viewed as an alien. Wandering the city is not advised unless you have proper guidance.
