Charlemont

Charlemont is a town in Franklin County, in the Pioneer Valley region of Massachusetts.

The town of Charlemont is a rural town on The Mohawk Trail Scenic Byway.

Massachusetts Route 2 (The Mohawk Trail Scenic Byway) is the main route through Charlemont from the East, and West.

• 🌍 Bissell Covered Bridge, 39 N Heath Rd. Covered Bridge over the Mill Brook with viewing area. Free.

• 🌍 Zoar Outdoor Adventure, 7 Main St, ☏ +1 413-339-4010. An outdoor adventure company offering white water rafting on the Deerfield River (features class II,III, and IV rapids)  
• 🌍 Mohawk Trail State Forest, Cold River Rd, ☏ +1 413-339-5504. A 7,700 acre State Forest that offers campsites, cabin rentals, swimming, trails for hiking, and cross-country skiing, and some of the last remaining pre-settlement old growth forest as well as the only remaining tract of Virgin forest in New England (Cold River Virgin Forest).
